I love food! All kinds! But I can be picky, but not as picky as my brother. Would you believe he enjoys bitter gourd?
Last night, we went to a Chinese tea house and I had my first experience tasting chili paste. My eyes almost popped out of their sockets! I drank two glasses of water just to douse the fire in my mouth. My father asked me if I liked it, I told him no but I might try it again in the future. I have to tell you though that those shu mai
really go great with chili paste.
It's so hard to imagine one whole month has gone by.
School's been pretty hectic, lots of homework. Our teacher says most of us still have a hard time with handwriting. So we've had to take home a lot of writing assignments.
I've been coughing a lot for about a week now. The weather for the last two weeks has been cold for our standards, dipping down to about 12 degrees celsius in the early hours. Then Wednesday last week, all of a sudden it's humid and hot. No wonder a lot are sick these days.
And with the Chinese new year next week, I thought I'd share with you what I take for my cough. Here's picture of the product:
It's called Pei Pa Koa (in Cantonese) and it's a honey loquat drink. It's great for coughs and sore throat. My father knows a Chinese herbalist who adds some kind of herby substance which makes it work doubly fast. We just don't know what that herby substance is called in English. Oh well, maybe some day ...

Baseball is a sport for everyone regardless of age. It has become such an international sport in recent years. In our area, we get baseball games from Japan, Taiwan and North America. I like baseball, maybe someday I can be a baseball player.
Here are some photos of me trying baseball out:

We were going through some of the old Christmas pictures when we dug this one up (click the thumbnail on your right to enlarge).
We were visiting at my godmother's two Christmas' ago. She and her husband have a very big house (click the pic on the left) and was very nicely decorated for Christmas. I think it was so nice, Nigel decided to take liberties with some of the decorations.
As we were all in the living room, my father suddenly saw Nigel lift that ceramic plate over his head and in one fell swoop, bashed it to the ground! As you can imagine, there was a long period of silence that immediately followed.
So my mother went and gave Nigel a piece of her mind, and my father decided to pull out his camera and take a picture of the broken ornament. He said he'll show it to Nigel when he's a teen-ager so he'll know what a destroyer he was when he was small.
I think that's really funny.

Happy new year to everyone. How did your new year celebration go?
We spent new year's eve at the mall. The mall hours were short, they closed as early as 7pm. We went on a carousel ride which we wanted to do for some time now. Here's a little video of our ride.

This video should take us all through the new year.
People in the Philippines are just mad about fireworks. They start lighting them up as early as the first week of December. This video was taken from a hotel suite with a five of about five adjoining cities just a few minutes before midnight, December 31 2005.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Today's the day our website goes live. My father promised us he'd make us a website in time for Christmas and we're so happy he kept his promise.
So why did we decide to make this website?
We thought it'd be interesting to keep a journal of our daily lives (although not on a daily basis) and at the same time share the journal with others who may be interested. We also plan to make this a resource for other parents who are raising children the same age as us.
But who knows how this website is going to look down the road? Things change, we're two growing kids, so everyday will be different! We do hope you will come around often and interact with us. See ya!
